I believe that there are too many of these people that are sick minded and need to realize that there are more things in life than sex.

How come women sex offenders are not listed on this site?

Just curious to why a repeat offender here in Franklin County, is not on this list when he has had several convictions?? Please clue me in to why he is not on the list.

Why the hell are all of these sick bastards able to live freely?! Many of their offenses (that I have seen) are multiple and the majority of them font even have to check in anymore! I was sexually abused as a child and I couldn't be more offended about the lack of concern by or Vermont or more afraid for todays youth!

My concern is that all offenders are not on the list. The list should be mandatory and kept up to date by authority becuase the predator is not going to sign up!!

Sex offenders do continue to attempt to communicate with minors and its up to parents to educate their children as to how to protect themselves and to speak up! My daughter was approached after she tried to avoid a sex offender and he commented on her action to AVOID him! We reported this incindent.

I agree with alot of what you have said but you also have to remember that alot of people who are truly like this never get convicted. I honestly believe that some who were accused could have been wrongly accused, but by buy alot of true sex offenders are people you would never think of. I have seen true sex offenders that were never convicted that are still out there with no boundaries and then some sex offenders that were listed on here that I honestly believe never did anything. So you have to watch people you would never suspect as well.

I know of one offender who is still on parole, and leaves vermont to go to ny state without permission. How does this happen? I contacted his parole officer and was told he was harassed by people and that its not true.

That's a great decision. I always think if proper records of Sex Offender available to the public then it is sure that people can get the chance to protect their families and take some safety measures.

Why just sex offenders? Why not a registry for burglars, arsonists, murderers, assaulters, thieves, DUI, etc.? You name the crime. Seems to me that sex offenders are singled out and that true sexual predators will not be stopped by a registry. Just more political smoke and mirrors.

Did you know?
While drugs and alcohol are often involved in sexual assaults, drugs and alcohol do not cause sexual offenses to occur. Rather, drug and alcohol use may be a disinhibitor for the offender, while being under the influence may increase a potential victim's vulnerability.
