Why is it in Franklin NH (BOW STREET) that onestreet has 99 % sexual offenders of children. is it required that they all live on the same street I feel that there should be a limit on how many sexual offenders are allowed to live on one street.

Posted by Anonymous (not registered) on Jul 22, 2006 02:10 AM

You are off your rocker my friend..for only a few of sexual predators are on that one street in franklin, nh. And why shouldn't these people be allowed to live near each other..your comments make you seem like an uneducated racist

why should a sex offender have to put a sign in front of his home? can't people look them up on the internet??? why should they have electric monitoring for life? is the goal to drive them out of florida completely??? i mean .....even if you can track them all...how would you know if they are committing a crime or not?

Posted by stacey (not registered) on Aug 14, 2006 12:57 PM

Why should they have a sign in front of there house or be monitured?

for one so that peaple will know why should you have to do the hunting to see who is a sex offender? if you comot the crime then you should loose all rights and most dont resister when they move so the police needs to know were they are i think all child molesters should be put to death they ruin there victoms lives and there familys it never goes away.

I feel people who have children should be worried about who lives in their area you must be one of them to make that statement. The world is full of these sick people they should be put with the lepers so we can worry about our children less and be able to let them out of their own house.

as a registered sex offender in new hampshire i am totally terified about being on the list when i was 19 i was dating a girl for almost 6 months i moved in with her mother and her about 2 months of dating the girl had a job ,didnt go to school, and drove a car , her mother allowed us to sleep in the same bed i thought she was 17 at the time we satrted dating and while we were dating her mother celibrated her daughters 18th b-day while things didnt work out and when i broke up w/ the girl because a friend of a friend told me she was only 13 i flipped and ended the realationship 3 days later her mother called me to have luch and talk , she said that if i didnt take her daughter back she was going to the police , i told her to do what she had to do cause i was not going to be dating a child, so i got arrested on numerous counts of felonious sexual assult and had bail of $31,000 and went to court and because the laws say that there is no mistake of age law i was found guilty and went to jail and had 2 years intensive couseling and probation now i am married for 6 years and have 2 sons ages 5 and 4 and i am on the list and have to register twice a year and have to do so for the rest of my life , and come to find out i am not the only guy that her and her mother have done this to there is 1 in california, and 2 others here in new hampshire so i ask you now who is the sex offender ? dont get me wrong i do assume full responsibillity for what i did but , it would never have happened if i had known the truth

As a wife of a sex offender, I am appalled at the mear fact that people can be so narrow minded it's pathetic! What about the sex offenders who are trying to make good on their lives??? I feel so bad for those that have been wrongly accused. My husbands ex-wife was cheating on him and had her boyfriend try to push him off a local highrise that they were building, and then when the step daughter decides to ask him for money to buy an expensive stereo, she cries RAPE! Well after the fact of him being gainfully employed in Florida, she told the police that this man had rapped her. I also did a little digging on her, I found out that it wasn't her step father that molested her,,,,,,,,,it was her OTHER FATHER! HER BIOLOGICAL FATHER who did this!

this country is getting so hung up on what I believe are bogus issues...almost creating hysterias, as if there weren't enough already. My brother will soon be finishing up his time at Concord Prison for men, and I know he doesn't quite want to come out b/c of a lot of stigma attached to sex offenders (all). He was wrongly accused, and chose to plead guilty instead of do 50+ years...didn't mean he was guilty, doesn't mean he didn't do something....but, what it does mean is that the little tramp who brought these charges never had to see the Judge and justify her accusations. He's labeled now, for the rest of his life, and she and her paranoid mother will have to live with this just as much now as if they never did what they did. My point is that it doesn't seem like the Country is doing anyone any good by lumping "ALL SEX OFFENDERS" under one label. It further harms these people who's crime was not penetration, or worse, murder. We need to help, not, hinder.

I have a borther that is doing time in your State. I know more now near his release date, than I knew going into it, because I would have gone all the way to a trial with him, had I known that when he excepted a plea bargain...that the TRUTH in sentencing would not be the truth. Never did they run any reference, back ground or personality on him. There are laws that Govern the State. As individual and former resident, I am appauled at the lack of concern over the TRUTH.

Perhaps they will begin to really look at the laws for once INSTEAD of the $$(what the bed is worth), perhaps they will see the system is inadequate, and having been on the inside for Over 2 1/2 years, he still has not recieved his COURT ordered Class, and the Guards tell him they dont KNOW WHY he is still there? OMG. NH Wake up!!! Get up off the couch and see what your daughter is doing! Make your mothers' take care of thier own children!! See to it that there is discorvery done BEFORE you send a person into prison with a charge that could have been a simple thing as urinating in Public, or as on man stated in here, that an age is an age. Dont let your Daughters BE PROMISCUOUS!!!! Demand Chastity from them until they are 18 at least!!Become aware of all that goes on around them. Know who thier friends are. Make sure they know how to contact YOU!!!

I am a NH wife of a sex offender...who thought a girl he had known for over a year was about to turn 19 not 15...and I agree that our laws are bogus. Some of these men do deserve to register for life, have electronic monitorng, etc, but others do not. We should at least have different levels of sex offenders like MA does. Why should these 17 year old boys who date a girl for 2 years, then decide to break up for wahtever reason and the girl gets pissed and cries to police, be classified in the same group as a 60 year old man who molests his infant grandchild. I do not understand how our state can say a sex offender is a sex offender...that is ignorance!! And for those of you out there who hear the words sex offender and tsk in disgust, why don't you think of those who should not be wearing the label, or better yet, why don't you think about their children?Do you really think a 12 year old child needs some stranger who claims to live down the street come to the door and inform them that their father is a sex offender?? Get facts before you go sticking your nose into other people's business!!

This world is full of alot of teens whom look older, and it's getting to the point of needing to I.D. them before ya date, or do anything anymore. Nothing more upsets me then to hear about teens saying they are a age they are not, then when they have a temper fit becuase things work out not the way they want, they cry to the mother and father, and then your labled. Alot of things that go on with the Courts are crazy, and probley not ever gonna change, but only get worse. Parents need to understand that yes some children, and teens are being molested, and the offenders should be punished, but when your child is going around fronting as a 18 year old, the parent needs to step up and honestly put a computer chip on their teen, because they are at fault for acting as an adult, and doing adult things too. I too am a wife of a convicted sex offender. He is in prison for molesting my daughter. He got severly drunk and touched my 11 year old daughter, who had fallen asleep in our bed, when I was gone. She said that in NEVER happened when he was sober. She even sent a victim's statement on his behalf asking the courts to go easy on him. She did this on her own! She even told me that she wanted me to stay with him and that he was still her daddy. He is her step-dad. She can't wait until she turns 18 so she can see him again. I am worried how we are going to be treated when he gets out! This registry allows people who have already sent threats to find out where we will be. That puts our lives in danger!! My husband has vowed to NEVER drink again! He has taken AA and is in counseling. Why can't they have a secomd chance? Murders and kidnappers don't have to register !!

Posted by Anonymous (not registered) on Jul 03, 2009 01:13 AM

You're totally right.

We shouldn't try to monitor them. What's the cost of 9mm ammunition these days anyway? Alot less than the cost of maintaining all these registries.

Why do sexual offenders have to register in NH ONLY if their victims are under a certain age?! That's great and all, but what about the rest of us? Don't we deserve protection? I love all the "boo hoo I'm a sex offender and I'm the victim and I don't want people to know what I did blah blah" stories. If you'd kept it in your pants you wouldn't have anything to whine about. Believe it or not. people don't WANT sex offenders around. You're the blight of humanity. We have one on our street (we found out by chance because the bastard was coming from another state and we searched before his record was removed) and he and his family are treated like lepers. We don't have block parties any more, we don't walk by his house, we don't talk to him or his wife... we all despise him. And the sick thing is, he's the one we know about! Because there's no registry, WE DON'T KNOW HOW MANY MORE THERE ARE AROUND. Disgusting.

Posted by Anonymous (not registered) on Nov 06, 2009 08:19 AM

What year did the registry start?? And do the offenders before that date have to register still?

Posted by Cb (not registered) on Feb 28, 2010 03:02 PM

Those sick people have lost there rights and people in the community should know what they have done without having to look them up.

what these people who post don't realize that "sex offense" doesn't mean child molestation or rape. it could simply mean you were drunk off your ass and took a leak where you shouldn't have. that and the astounding number of women who cry rape to avoid an uncomfortable situation at home when they're caught having sex is disgusting. even as a woman i feel that certain things cross the line. when a man is accused of rape his life is pretty much over. even if it's untrue. this information should not be on the internet and doesn't prevent anything. if anything it causes panic and many are cases of mis-identification. if you need information about your neighborhood yes i do believe you should be able to go into a police station and they tell you if there is a convicted rapist or pedophile living near you. i do not however believe that any and all of the people that are listed under the "sex offense" category deserve to be on there and branded nor have their neighbors have the ability to destroy their lives because they were stupid 10 years ago when they were 21 and slept with a 16 year old with a fake id they met in a bar. (yes it does happen...A LOT). this information shouldn't be on here for everyone and anyone to read and every police officer i have ever talked to have agreed that all this registry does is cause problems and RARELY ever prevents anything

I think your "sex offender" laws are absurd, especially when teens, (15, 16, or 17) year olds are having consentual relations w/ older guys!! These days age is just a #. AND your law ruins these guy's lives forever!!! Twenty years probation is unheard of!!!!!!!!!!! It would be one thing if these teens were raped but they know more about sex today and it certainly isn't foreign to them. It's time the laws were changed!!

I think that sex offenders that ACTUALLY did things to childeren should be sentenced to life... I went thru 4 yrs of stuff being done to me and I finally stood up at 13 yrs old and said something to my parents and my parents didnt do anything about it... he got nothin... he had to go to counsiling... and on probation till he was 18 which was only 2 yrs and I was scard for life.. im 18 yrs old now and to this day thats all that sits in tha back of my head... I BELIEVE SEX OFFENDERS DESERVE LIFE IN PRISON!
