I live in Missouri. I married a cop. He sexually assaulted my daughter for the past 4 years without my knowledge, until she told me before she became a legal adult. The county I live in knows him well. They will not persue the issue, although we have all the proper and legal reports, etc. ( no tangibles, they claim). I feel for the person with the "locksmith" query. There are 4 other children from the family that this has effected. We lost our home. The creditors are at the door. It's been 9 months since the reports, and still nothing. The children are not his natural children, he was the stepfather. We had been married for 6 years, until this. My child has severe emotional trauma now. As do her siblings, to a degree. They lost their social circle, their routine, their pets. We have no closure, no resgistery as an offender, and he is out there, probably looking for the next "free ride", both finacially and physically. Does anyone have any advice...not that I haven't heard a boat load...but always open to a new idea... thx
