You all need to get the facts on exactly get you put on the sex offender registry. I am there and don't belong along with a lot of other people. Granted some certianly do! The people this really hurt are the children of an offender. I have custody of my kids now 21 and 17, and have for the past 10 years. My daughter and son have gone through school being talked about and made fun of because of Megans law. They never did a thing to anyone yet are being punnished. Is that fair to them? No! not all people who have to register are preditors or have any history of showing any interest in a sexually related crime especally on a minor. The law needs to change. Your kids are no safer now than they were 20 years ago. Do what my parents did, watch your kids, know where they are and who they are with. Do you know if there are any convicted murderers in your neighborhood? I think you would be suprised how close you live to drug dealers and murderers.
