Thank you, Royallyscrewed I completely agree with you. This just cheapens the system. The should remove the "Sex Offender" label and just make it criminal registration. Heck you could explain sex to your child and be slapped with the charge I was slapped with. It is completely insane what this state's legal system does. If I had known that this state had a law that didn't honor the criteria of a different state's label system and instead slapped you with a label and publized it, I would have fought in court and ruined my family.

Also to be honest with you, there should be a list of drug dealers. Once a dealer 90% of the time always a dealer. I had a neighbor in California who was a parolee for drug dealing and using. He had a good job as a telemarketer since he knew how to sell. What happened to him? He ended up back in prison for dealing/using because he made more money that way.

Frank Oct 5th. I do believe its only a 1000 foot law set by the cities not the state government. Yes still being punished after 7yrs for something like that is crazy. But hey this state is a crazy hysterical state. I can understand still being punished if you where forcing a child to watch it. But if it was accidental you shouldn't be.

Ok I am rather surprised at the lack of response I got to my post telling the truth about my situation. I am rather happy at the lack of response to be honest. I was honestly expecting people to go ewwww your still a sicko and criminal, but so far none of it. I guess even hysterical people realize when an unjustified thing has happened to an individual. I personally believe anyone caught raping or laying a hand on a child should be severally punished for the first time and put to death for the second offense. But the fact of the matter is that this legal system dishes out these labels so callously makes me sick and sorry for the other individuals who are unjustly labeled. You have truly sick individuals out there but you have people who did something stupid in there life also being grouped with the sickos and being punished for the rest of there lives. Its true, you have this label on your record and you will be denied employment and housing. I say for those that truly deserve it its good but there are people who do not deserve it being labeled. How sad has society come these days?

The law in the state of Florida is that if your slapped with the offender label its for life or the minimum of 25yrs. Can you imagine being caught urinating outside and your slapped with this label for the rest of your life? The laws in this state are not balanced. They are keyed to one thing and that is hysteria. I agree fully with punishing people yes, yet the system in this state it extremely flawed. It does not way into account the severity of the crimes committed. I believe in standing up for the victims, by victims I mean the children hurt by the real sickos and the victims of this extremely flawed system. I am one of the victims of this extremely flawed system and I have already told the truth here on this registry and included my full name.

No it is not fair! Nothing in this corrupted state is fair anymore. I once told a close friend the whole true story. The same whole true story I told on here not to long ago. His response "Isn't that another form of child abuse?" Seriously putting your own child through the system or putting another child through the system unjustly is another form of child abuse! If a person did the crime then he should do the time! Yes 100%. But! All crimes should be taken into account and classified according to severity! The fact of the matter that this system is so corrupt that yes it makes more offenders. Maybe not sex offenders but offenders as in drug dealers or thieves. This corrupted system puts these black marks unjustly on alot of people who do not deserve them. Those people are forced to commit crime like drug dealing or theft just to have money to survive due to the fact very few to no employer will hire an individual with this label. I am one individual that is calling for a REFORM of this system NOT A REMOVAL of it. P.S. An updated on my father since I mentioned him previously since he is the reason I am an Ohio/Florida system victim. He is now a dead beat dad and has not paid any money to my step mother for their 2 children. My step mother's house has gone into foreclosure due to it. Also he is still dating that female that is my age. Seriously that is sickening, robbing the cradle much?

True, Oldtimer. But I wouldn't be shocked if it where also true. If you check the net you will find stories of 14yr boys being labeled sex offenders because they had sex with a 14yr old girl. Also at the same time the girl gets the label. So I wouldn't be to shocked if it where true, granted it would be a very stupid reason to be listed.

To TomeBaden : Yes these registries are just for hysteria. They already a few people with these labels wrongfully. Now they will try to expand them even more to include misdemeanors? I'm not to shocked. Over all they are making all these registries into one big joke. Seriously punish those who are truly guilty don't punish those who are not. What happened to me is a prime example of the injustice of some of these registries, especially the one in this state. Read up and you will see my entire story I even list my full name. These registries do not need to be expanded they need to be revised and made into one central registry that does not have different laws from one state to another.



To it hurt: I am truly sorry for whatever happened to you. True sex offenders should be listed and photographed not those who where wrongfully labeled. I would appreciate it if you would explain what happened to yourself because that limited post looks like a hysterical self righteous person made it just to further the hysteria in this state.



To everyone: I just went through re-registration. Thank god they modernized it and streamlined it finally. Before it use to take an entire day to get re-registered now is took me 30minutes. Those that willingly go through the registration process and re-registration are trying to make amends for there crimes but are being continuously punished for them in one fashion or another. Seriously those you need to really be worried about are the damm predators, there is a difference between a sex offender and a predator btw.

It is NEVER ok to take away the innocence of a child. Also for "but not ok to take the anonymity away from a monster". Are they truly monsters? Or did they make a stupid mistake in there life? Or was it due to someone being vindictive? They are sex offenders not sexual predators. Also don't you think the drug dealer 3 doors down who is dealing to the children is also taking away the child's innocence? Good for you for watching your children. But I must stress this watch for everyone when it comes to protecting your children! Not just the people who are registered and are abiding by the law. Also considering this bloody state will register anyone for about any reason it is a good idea to do some research on exactly what crime they are convicted of doing before you bloody well condemn them.
