A man has been arrested in connection with the purchase of a used cellphone that showed a video of a man engaging in a sex act with a toddler, Dallas police said Monday.

Jvan Lamar Howard, 22, was arrested Friday in Abilene on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was being held at the Taylor County Jail on $50,000 bond on that charge, but also was being held without bond on an unrelated probation warrant on a theft charge from Denton County, according to Dallas police.

Police said the man who bought the Samsung phone earlier this month from a Top Dollar Pawn Superstore didn't know the video existed until he got home. The video shows a man performing a sex act with a girl who appears to be about 3 years old.

The man called police as soon as he found the video, and detectives were trying to determine the phone's previous owner.
