Just-freed sex offender nabbed in fatal home invasion

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - A recently released sex offender who police say brazenly invaded a home Sunday, shot two elderly women over their morning coffee and then abducted one of them has been arrested, while the woman’s body was found yesterday 10 miles away.

Police said the suspect, Leslie Williams, 31, told them he entered the unlocked home Sunday morning looking for money and a car, but when two women inside saw his face, he had no choice but to shoot them.
