My name is Rick, in 1993, after a very long and dirty divorce. My ex-wife accused me of Rapeing My 3 yr old little girl, and accused my 68 yr old mother of watching me do this to my child, these were all lie's,My attorney told me that due to me haveing a past record i should take a deal rather than a life sentance ,as in the state of ohio this crime carries a life sentance, now what I dont understand is, why would they offer a person, with a past prison record a deal of 13 mo.s in jail rather than the three life sentances I was faceing, and if i was guilty of this crime, why was i never arrested, never given a bond, and why was the polygraph test that I past with flying colors, and why is it now that I find out after so many yrs. that there was D.N.A. blood samples an clothing that I never new about, I want to take that test also, But they say they do not have this stuff , I have a copy of this statement, with my ex=wifes picture and name and web site on that she has sent to a ex-girlfriend of mine. for over 15 yrs. i have been trying to turn this around, Ive wrote the Dr. Phil show, the steve wilcos show, taken many things to local T.V. Stations I was never guilty of this crime,, an have never committed a crime against a child or woman, im at the end of my rope, let no one come at me wishing me harm, as you do not know the facts

Im sorry, but it does not matter if your parents approved of you at 14 being sexually involved with an 18 year old man..the LAW says its illegal. The law is there to PROTECT those children who dont have the capability of making these kinds of ADULT decisions. You are blaming the rest of the world for YOUR mistake, and YOU made it so now you are FORCING your children to LIVE with it ? If you were so in love..all ya had to do was WAIT until it was LEGAL..problem solved !Shame on you and Shame on your parents for allowing or approving of this situation.Their JOB was to protect YOU..and clearly they FAILED..so the law did what it supposed to do, when your parents clearly did not. Boo-Hoo Cry me a river.... You made the bed....now deal with it.

I am the WIFE of a "Sex Offender" as they call him. I have been with him since I was 14. He was 18. I am a VERY level headed woman, that owns 2 Business. I am definently NOT a "Victim" as they call ME. I wouldn't change a single think......I just wish the stupid cops wouldn't have gotten involed in OUR relationship....Expspecially because my Mom & Dad APPROVED & stood by our relationship 100%. I'm sorry we weren't "Amish" or some shit. We now have been togather for 14 years & have 5 Beautiful children (All born AFTER I turned 18) If you look at our ages now....there are ALL kinds of people with 4 year age differences getting married & having "relations" Who is to say that we aren't soul mates??? How many hearts has the system broke? And in our case RUINED. We have FIVE kids & can find a house NO where. In our county you can't live by schools, daycare centers, parks, swimming pools...the whole nine yards. Pretty much leaves us STUCK most of the time. We are looking for a place now, so if anyone has some advice, we are willing to move ANYwhere almost that we are "Allowed" to live.

Thank you & have a great day!

Are you people crazy on here.It is illeagle for a felon to care a weapon (such as a knife,a gun.) If the sexual offender is going to commit the crime then you should be labeled what you are a sick person.Ifeel it should not matter what the crime is when it comes to childern.I think they should all be locked up forever or better yet just take them all out.I'm so glad i moved my childern out of Ohio, they weren't safe there. If anyone touch my childern in the wrong way oh they would so be dead.I would go to jail for life for my childern.I'm so glad anonymous can't get to them. All you mentally distrubed people need mental help.

It is true you must read all of the information pertaining to the tiers in Ohio 1-2-3...If a RSO had sexual relations with a minor but this minor is above the age of 13 but below the age of 16 and produce a child but stay with this person. Both agreed to the sexual relation then this person is now a RSO people will only see that this person is labeled and will not care about anything else. It is sad that the RSO are labeled for 25 years if they are doing the right thing and still both parties want to marry and take care of their child. The life of the RSO is now over. No one will hire this person. No one will understand. One must know the entire story before judging.

Folks - normally the statutes violated by the offenders will clearly indicate whether or not the crime was commited against someone under 13, between 13 and 16 and over 16. You just have to pay attention and read the entire statute. I make it a point to study the faces and know the addresses of all sexual predators in my area convicted of crimes against children, not ALL registered offenders. I am fully aware there are sometimes 18 years old kids who get nailed for statutory rape for having sex with a 16 year old, and that there are varying degrees of assault against adults. I, personally have no plans to seek out and harm these offenders. HOWEVER, I certainly would not stand idly by and allow them to re-offend, either.

People see a sex offender list and automatically judge without facts. Everyone decides that because a person is on a list, many times for a one time offense, that they are targeting your children. Well a 1st degree felony can be on an adult too, but you ASSUME it isn't. Should I assume that because you had a glass of wine that you are an alcoholic, or one car crash, that you are purposely going to run me over. This database only causes more panic. HEY IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR KIDS GETTING MOLESTED...ummm..oh yeah... BE A PARENT AND WATCH YOUR KIDS. Not everyone who gets on the "list" is a horrible person intent on raping people. I bet you're a racist too, since you judge without back story or information. Hearsay is inadmissible in court, but you take everything else to heart. How long before you do something stupid, and end up leaving your children with NO PARENT? I know its hard for such narrow minded idiots, but really try to THINK! Ya know what the usual difference between a person in counseling for bad decision making, and you? Usually a court order. If I took the same view on life that you violent people ^ do, then I would have to automatically assume that everyone with a child is going to assault me with a knife. You who act like you're going to harm someone because of their past, are a bunch of pathetic hypocrites and I dare you to come at ME with a knife, or attempt to "smack me around" you psychos...I am armed and ready to defend myself against narrow minded idiots like yourself. Others are doing the same.

1st degree assault could be an adult too. People can read charges on a website, but oh no , they can't read the affidavits/court papers. People just assume what they want. Well people, assume makes an ass out of you and me. You don't know the particulars of a case, yet you judge automatically. Thats the same as being a racist. Because someone has a criminal record for a sex crime, its only how you say it is, not how it happened. If everyone thought like you, then you would have to worry too. Maybe you have a unibrow, so that means youre a deviant, or you're white, so you are a danger to all black people. See how narrow minded that it without facts behind it. I'm an offender who was arrested wrongfully, but does that matter? NO, because I was convicted anyway. Will you know the particulars? No, because you don't care about the facts. To anyone that thinks that just because someone has a sex offense that the ARE targeting your kids, and you feel you are justified in "smacking or stabbing" them, I'll just let you know, I am armed, and if you come at me I WILL terminate you before you have a chance to raise your hand at me. BEWARE! Other offenders are arming themselves against stupid pathetic would be "bad-asses" with something to prove.

Old Timer - actually, if I feel I or my children are in imminent danger, I do have the right to stab someone, or use whatever else would be at my disposal to protect us. I can't believe it doesn't make you angry to know a 40 year old man who REPEATEDLY RAPED a small child is free to live his life outside of prison. Perhaps you are sympathetic toward child rapists because of an offense you committed? My heart aches for the child who was raped and his or her family. I have no room in my heart to care about this man, or others like him. Regardless of any abuse he sustained through his life, he still had a choice, He was responsible for his own actions, and thought of noone but himself. If he truly believed what he was doing was right, then he may have a legitimate mental defect and he needs to be in an institution, not anywhere near children.

Posted by Oldtimer on Apr 17, 2008 03:02 PM

A little over the top. Maybe it's time you look at some of your anger issues. Possibly some offense done to you? No one has the right to stab anyone (IMHO)

Constitutional Fights - I was at a local reastaurant with my 3 year old daughter today and had the displeasure of seeing one of our resident sex offenders in the restaurant, It was all I could do to keep from jamming a knife into his head when he looked at my daughter. Bet your butt if this man set 1 foot on my property he would be a dead man. He was charged with 3 counts of 1st degree sexual assalut, which mean at the age of 40 he had sex with someone under the age of 12. He was convicted on all 3 counts - which means it happened more than once. Beyond disgusting and absolutely inexcusable.

He served just 4 years. What he did will be with that child for the rest of his or her life. Shame on you for thinking this man has the same rights as the child he destroyed. As for being a "pathetic lemming" my priority is to make sure my children are safe - not to give a flying fig about the feelings of someone who rapes children.

Posted by Oldtimer on Apr 14, 2008 09:42 PM

vicki...you might check out the laws of your state. In some places, i think it is illegal to take phones into locker rooms etc. If the female being photographed is a minor, then you have someone crossing the line. They can be prosecuted if the photograph falls into the area of ponography. (IMHO)

Anonymous , you're an idiot. Is it the right of a sex offender to smack you around? How can your small mind see your violent thoughts toward others be seen as any different than any other violent act or crime or abuse? Thank God people like you are in the minority still in this nation, although it is sad how many pathetic lemmings we have who still think it is okay to hurt certain groups of people because they look /speak differently, have a criminal offense , or arent in agreement with them in some other way.

What action is recommended if I see someone watching females (without their knowledge) with their camera phone?

Posted by Oldtimer on Aug 24, 2007 10:22 PM

You do not have the right to smack anyone around...nor to criminally threaten (IMO) Keep in mind, that "abuse leads to abuse". Many sexual offenders were physically or sexually abused, themselves. Why then, would YOU want to continue the cycle?

Posted by Anonymous (not registered) on Aug 23, 2007 10:36 PM

What can I do if I see someone from the sexual offender registry walking by my home? Is it legal to smack them around? Does the law overlook such minor violations? I'm not talking about doing any permanent damage; however, I would like to frighten him severly.

Did you know?
While drugs and alcohol are often involved in sexual assaults, drugs and alcohol do not cause sexual offenses to occur. Rather, drug and alcohol use may be a disinhibitor for the offender, while being under the influence may increase a potential victim's vulnerability.
