I almost regret looking at this web site. There was one posted on SV campus and I thought I would do some checking. I don't know what bothers me most, the 30 y/o male having sex with a 14 y/o, the many children that aren't being protected from "known" people who hurt them, or the fact that someone can get a DUI and wear a ankle braclet but not them. I'm in my early 30's and alls I'm going to say is "gun control is using TWO hands"..
I cant believe some of these people are even free to wander the streets.
There should be a law that requires first time level 1 sex offenders register before getting out of prison, level II never gets out and level 3 gets the death penalty.
How can they be listed as "transient"? Whose child is in danger now?
Anyone that touches a child under the age of 13 should get life or the death sentence. Remember the victims here and get them counseling before the offender, the victim should be treated before the offender can get treatment.
Now matter how long it takes.

I was first molested when I was 5 and it didn't stop until I was 15, I was molested by a neighbor, family members, a gas station attendant and my father, I reported my father to DSHS and they told him if he confessed they would not report it to the police, if he kept denying it they would, of course he admitted it, and they gave him 6 weeks of counseling, basically he got 6 counseling sessions for one hour one day a week, I got counseled on running away from home. When I was 17 I my father tried it again, I went to the prosecuting attorney and they were dumbfounded that DSHS knew about the molestation 2 years prior and yet he was never reported to the police, they then informed me that it would be hard to prove molestation of a 15 yr old and that he would only be charged with indecent liberties and get maybe 6 months.
Years later after I got married and had children, when my oldest daughter reached the age of 5, the same age I was when I was first molested, I had a lot of issues that came up because of my past, I didn't trust leaving my daughter alone with my husband, and he never did anything to warrant that mistrust...anyway, I had to "deal with, heal with it and get over it" out of my own pocket, my complaint is why is it sex offenders get free counseling while the victim has to pay for it.

I just read through all of the sex offenders in Skagit county and can not believe that some of them are still not incarcerated. I believe that the younger the victim the more time they should get, a six week old can not fight back like a 13 year old can. How can someone be charged with sexual contact with a 3 year old instead of child rape? A 3 year old doesn't even know what sex is.
I can not believe how many are "transients", how many have more than one conviction, how many have more than one victim, how many have no address listed, one even travels around the state for his job, one even had a charge for not registering and he is running around free. WHY? Why are these people allowed to wander around freely to jeopardize the life of another child? Implant a chip in them so they can be monitored before they are released, and if they do not register then put them back in prison, with the chip they can be located easily and they can't remove it like an ankle bracelet. Which is what a guy in Lakewood just did recently and he can't be found now.
I know that these types can not be "cured" only "treated", if they bother to show up for their treatment, I think they should never get out and some really deserve the death penalty, if not all of them. When it comes to a child under the age of 13, it should be "child rape" and I believe that the death penalty after the first conviction is what they should receive, because as a survivor, I can say that when someone forcibly has sex with you, they kill something inside of you and for a child that is too young to fight back or even understand what is happening to them the offender should die for that because whose child is the system going to sacrifice next before they take the offender off the streets permanently? I pray it's not mine.

I think once someone offends they all need an ankle monitor so every step is watched & if they don't like it they don't need to live in the USA. Because once they do that to a child they've F'ed up that child for the rest of their lives & given up there rights as a citizen. please let them live in some other country because they they won't put up w/ it there they'll just do away w/ them.
Did you know?
While drugs and alcohol are often involved in sexual assaults, drugs and alcohol do not cause sexual offenses to occur. Rather, drug and alcohol use may be a disinhibitor for the offender, while being under the influence may increase a potential victim's vulnerability.
