I have to comment to the lady who posted on April 17 2009, Your clitorus stays in tact it is a permanent part of your body, there is not way to tell if someone has been molested by looking at the clitorus. Go back to school and learn your anatomy. And just because someone is a hard worker and good provider does not mean that they can not be a pervert!

And btw, not all sex offenders are perverts or molest children. The list is a joke. Let's find better ways to use our money.

There is NO rehab for sexual offenders. The best we can hope for is they will seek professional help, learn coping skills, and STAY AWAY from those persons of interest. If they admit their problem, and seek help and learn to cope, we have nothing to fear.

You know, I have to say I am sick of this sex offender registry stuff. Offenders were convicted, punished, did thier time and are supposed to re-enter society. Is our juris prudis system that ill conceived that we have no faith in rehabilitation? If we think sex offenders need to register due to recidivism we need to have any and all convicts register. Drug offenders perform some pretty bad crimes for their fix, do you not want to know if one moved in next to you to protect your loved ones or belongings? Murderers are released yet dont have to register nor do DUI convicts, yet we view thier crimes just as bad. Is it because we put the word "sex" in the offense that makes us that more uptight. If we are so worried about our children, take time to watch your own children, become active in thier life. Know where they are going, who they are with and associating. Stop the excuses that we "just looked away for a minute" or "we cant be with them all the time" when the reality is we all have some responsibility when a child or any loved one gets hurt. This isnt to say that all perps can rehabilitate. there are some sick people out there, but this registration thing has gone too far. It needs to become an all or nothing deal. All offenders regardless of offense need to register or we just need to me proactive in finding out who our neighbor is, who our teachers are and taking a more proactive stance in our communities. Get away from in front of the computer and out in society where you are really needed.

I agree that sex offenders are sick. They need help. But a man that is living with a 15 or 16 yr old step daughter whose mother is dead and brother moves out and leaves these two alone. The girl is playing house walking around in front of this man who isnt really related to her in her underwear, cooking dinner and kissing goodnite. He touches her breasts and a year later she gets mad at him and makes an accusation he is ruined for life. There really arent that many 15 year old girls these days that are taught to save themselves for marriage. They flaunt their stuff and get offended when treated like a slut. A man has to watch himself, his words and his actions very carefully. U never know who you are dealing with. And remember 15 yrs old is considered a child.

I CANT STAND THE FACT THAT SOMEONE WOULD PURPOSELY ASSAULT A CHILD IN A SEXUAL MANNER, THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE THE LOWEST PERSON ON EARTH. NOW DAYS YOU CANT TRUST ANYONE YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL OF THE MEN AS WELL AS THE WOMEN SEXUAL ASSAULT IS NOT GENDER BASED THERE ARE SOME SICKOS THAT PREFER BOTH....................

People say that they dont always reoffend, but why would you take that chance with you children. At the age of 15 it happened to me, he got 3 years in Hardin Co jail. He is now out everyday I live with that fear. That is something you will never get rid of. I have a daughter now and I would never put her around someone who has done it, only if they have done it only once. I would never hope to see anyone go through what I done. It takes a very sick person to do something like that to a child or anyone. i THINK THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED TO THE MAX!!!!!!!!!!!! i DONT FEEL SORRY FOR THEM NOT THE LEAST LITTLE BIT

I'm having a problem with the fact that my neice was 8 when she was molested by her step-father in Hardin Co...the man only got 10 yrs. probation. His ten yrs. are not up and he is no longer listed on the county sex offender registry.....he is however, still listed through the state. I am very irritated with Texas law . Beware Hardin County residents! This man is still in your midst and roams freely!! Thank your Texas Judges and Lawyers for this!

How do you know this person assaulted a child?

I dont know how anyone would want to be associated with a child molester having children its just wrong. you are exposing your own children to a monster. I want to know how some one can falsely accuse someone of doing a crime like this and ruin their name and life. Just because they are pissed off at someone, All you have to do now is say someone touched me and they spend their life behind bars. Children are our future and it just pisses me off that people who are innocent get accused and alot of the guilty ones dont even get reported and let justice prevail. So if you think someone has touched your child talk to them. only the child knows for sure. Build a bond with your children..... I am a female and my teenage sons come to me with all their problems and questions. Because i have always been upfront with them and honest with them. Build a bond now get them to talk about everything with you from the time they start talking .. so you can ask questions and know you will get honest answers ...
Your working on the assumption that the offender would reoffend. Not all offenders reoffend. If that were "guarenteed", offenders would, of course, be incarcerated forever. People make mistakes. It doesn't mean they will make the same mistake, again. Do you repeat all of your crimes over and over? We are all guilty of something...if not just "throwing stones" at our neighbor.

I definitely agree with the last comment! They're sickos and why would you endanger your own child??????
Posted by anonymous (not registered) on Jan 22, 2006 02:07 AM
i dont know how anybody would stay with thier husband after he did something like sexually assaulting a child..... or why you would marry someone and have a kid with a guy that sexually assaulted a child.... even if he is changed, theres still the possibilty that he would do it again.... just like x drug addicts.... they dont go around drugs and hang out where drugs are, simply because that would make them more likely to use again.... same concept with sexual offenders.....
Did you know?
While drugs and alcohol are often involved in sexual assaults, drugs and alcohol do not cause sexual offenses to occur. Rather, drug and alcohol use may be a disinhibitor for the offender, while being under the influence may increase a potential victim's vulnerability.
