That is just the problem. too many people feel the same way you do. Ok, with teens or even younger being put on this list, even though there was no deseption or force act, should be locked up and the key thrown away? This list, unfortunately is not being used as it was meant to be. I thought as you that it was for the worst of the worst, the scum of the earth! But that is not the case. How do the kids know they are braking the law, when the parents don't know the laws have changed? I'd suggest that you find out for yourself, research this yourself, so your children do not fall prey to it. You can best protect your children by teaching them about being touched where they shouldn't be and such and not to be afraid to tell someone about it. I have nothing but sympathy for the victims of the actual crime, but I will speak out for those that should not be on the list for life! Are you get going to wait until someone you care about falls prey to the laws of the land or are you going to warn them so it doesn't happen to them? When the law it's self is the crime, I don't feel I or anyone else whom speaks out about it as whining.

I myself feel that the lists and detailed information provided on sex offenders help me to protect my children and myself. There are many who disagree with such information being public record, however if you weren't a sick pervert to begin with you wouldn't be on a list. Stop whining and take a look at the facts, most people on those lists very seldom are rehabilitated, lock them up and throw away the key!!!
